Notice: From here on out, it is essential to use your legal name registered with Parallax for all deposits. The recipient name on the sender bank’s transaction must closely match your legal name registered with us. Deposits made using an alias will not be processed and will be automatically returned.

I have a really long name/my name is a bit different in Upwork. Does it have to be the exact match?

While an exact match isn’t required, it should be as close as possible. As long as you're not using an alias, this update does not affect you.

Why are you making this change?

While we understand some users prefer using an alias for work, this has caused delays in deposit processing. By using your legal name, we can streamline our process with our partners, reduce friction, and ensure faster delivery of your funds.

My transaction was processed before. Am I affected by this?

Yes, if we have not contacted you regarding your alias and your transaction was processed without submitting your documents, this applies to your transactions immediately.

What if I send my documents now?

We will no longer accept further approvals for alias-based transactions. Please redeposit the funds using your legal name.

I submitted my documents before and got approved. Does this apply to me?
