Our story is driven by a unique blend of vision and heritage. Born and raised in the Philippines, Mika, our CEO, was motivated by her and her freelancer friends' struggles faced with international payments—sky-high fees, snail-paced transaction times, and overall confusing experiences. Pairing this with innovative technological approaches, Parallax was born to tackle the global problem.

While our roots are in the Philippines—a nation witnessing a 208% y/y growth rate for remote work revenue—we've already gained interest from various countries. We aim to capture the trillion dollar global cross-border payment market.

Parallax was founded by Mika Reyes and Alex Kuang, leading a team with experience in global and Silicon Valley companies and startups like LinkedIn, Facebook, Microsoft, Kumu.ph and more.
